Stress

Introduction

Stress is part of everyday life.  It's not just about anxiety and panic, it's the everyday experience of time pressure, strain, and trying to cope with the demands placed on us.

Stress is also a good and natural part of life - without it things would be very dull!  It gets us out of bed in the morning and keeps us going in our work, leisure and sport.  In short there is no simple way to define stress - Different people experience it in different ways.  Some thrive on the adrenaline of stress while others feel continually tense and under pressure.

Showing signs of stress does not mean that you are weak or that you can't cope - It means you are human!  But one thing is certain - When everyday pressures and tensions start to affect the quality of our lives, it's time to do something about it.
