This project, in partnership with 1066 Housing Association, provides both accommodation and support to young people aged 16-25. It aims to deliver advice and support to assist young people to sustain tenancies with 1066 HA and live independently.
The support we provide includes:
We work with each person on an individual basis and tailor the support accordingly. The support is flexible to meet individual needs and can be provided, as part of the tenancy agreement, for any length of time (up to 1 year). When the young person no longer needs support they can either remain in the accommodation and be granted an assured tenancy or they can move to another property.
This service is available to anyone aged 16-25 who are homeless, threatened with homelessness, in housing need or already in accommodation. Being without a secure home can affect health, as well as access to benefits, education, training or employment.
How we can help:
In securing a place to live:
In maintaining a tenancy:
We can offer independent information, advice and time to explore all available options.
We do not provide accommodation, but will support you in your search.
We also offer a number of half-day ‘surgeries’ at venues other than our Hastings office which are, essentially, drop-ins:
For further details of the above surgeries, please ring us on 01424 423344 or call in to our drop-in at 45 Cambridge Road between 10am and 12 noon.
